Maine Wood Concepts ® is a full-service custom manufacturer of wooden components & products. For over 50 years, we have been serving the needs of a wide range of industries including toys, education, promotional items, crafts, musical, housewares, cookware, hand tools, food service, medical and much more. Comprised of several well-known & respected companies and consumer brands, Maine Wood Concepts offers the broadest range of custom woodturning, molding and finishing capabilities.
Our History
Our original building was located in the heart of the little town of New Vineyard. Originally getting it’s start as the towns blacksmith shop. It began a slow transformation into a wood turning mill in the 1950’s and was purchased by Wayne & Earl Fletcher in 1971. Wayne’s sons Doug, Gary and Jody owned and operated the business from 1994-2021. All three brothers have worked at the company for years before taking ownership. Each slowly graduated from sawmill workers to machine operators, to mechanics, to supervisors. Today, Jody is sole owner with around 65 employees at our sawmill and factory located in the lakes and mountain region of western Maine.

LUTZ FILE AND TOOL
Lutz File Handles and File Cleaners have been produced in the USA for over 100 years. Crafted using sustainably-harvested New England hardwoods, Lutz file handles are known for their durability and quality.
FLETCHERS’ MILL
Fletchers’ Mill has a beautiful collection of salt mills, pepper mills, rolling pins and many other kitchen tools. Thoughtfully designed and meticulously crafted.
